Budtender

Location: Firehouse – 883 Hyde Park Ave, Boston, MA 02136
Compensation: $18/hour + tips
Job Type: Full-time and Part-time positions available

 

Position Summary:
As a Budtender at Firehouse, you’ll be the face of our dispensary — welcoming customers, offering education and recommendations, and making sure every guest leaves with what they need and a positive experience. This role includes both customer-facing and operational responsibilities, and is ideal for someone who is reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in customers, ensuring all ID and intake procedures follow state regulations

     

  • Assist customers at the Point of Sale (POS), providing product knowledge and processing accurate transactions

     

  • Maintain product organization, cleanliness, and safety standards on the floor

  • Support daily inventory procedures, including restocking and packaging

  • Communicate customer concerns or urgent issues to Team Leads as needed

  • Uphold Firehouse’s high standards for customer service, professionalism, and discretion

  • Maintain absolute confidentiality and compliance with all cannabis laws and regulations

Employment Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Positive, respectful attitude with both customers and coworkers

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving industry

  • Prior retail or customer service experience required; cannabis knowledge is a big plus

  • Must pass a full background check as required by Massachusetts cannabis regulations

Team Lead

Location: Firehouse – 883 Hyde Park Ave, Boston, MA 02136

Compensation: $20/hour + Benefits potential

Job Type: Full-time and Part-time positions available

Position summary:
Team Leads help keep Firehouse running smoothly by supporting daily operations, ensuring compliance with CCC regulations, and leading a high-performing retail team. This role bridges the gap between management and staff — keeping things organized, motivating the team, and stepping in wherever needed to ensure a seamless and positive experience for customers and coworkers alike.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing the dispensary

  • Support inventory tracking, receiving, restocking, and preventing shrinkage

  • Maintain compliance by ensuring accurate use of the POS system and adherence to CCC regulations

  • Provide leadership and guidance to Budtenders, helping to train, motivate, and ensure a strong team dynamic

  • Monitor the sales floor, respond to customer questions and concerns, and address urgent issues as they arise

  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and clean environment for both customers and staff

  • Assist with product packaging, inventory counts, and reporting

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and security protocols at all times

  • Support the implementation of new store initiatives and promotions

  • Serve as acting manager in the absence of the Dispensary Manager
     

Employment Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age

  • Must pass a full background check

  • Prior experience in a retail leadership or supervisory role required

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods

  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable taking initiative

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Customer service–oriented with a team-first mindset
